I am currently a Lead AI Research Scientist at Nowon, where I work on live music version identification and generative AI music attribution. Previously, I worked for three years as a Senior Research Scientist at SiriusXM-Pandora, where I focused on multi-modal recommender systems and music understanding.

Before joining Pandora, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Mila and McGill University, where I worked with Fernando Diaz and Georgina Born on the MusAI project, exploring interdisciplinary approaches to the design and study of music recommendation systems.

From 2015 to 2021, I was a researcher at the Music Technology Group at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. During that time, I contributed to Dunya as part of the CompMusic project, worked on the development of Freesound, and conducted research on music recommendation systems in collaboration with Kakao.

I completed my PhD in 2021 at the Music Technology Group. My research focused on understanding the impact of music recommendation systems from artists' perspectives—examining how these systems affect artists and how recommender systems can be designed to be more ethical and beneficial for everyone.

In 2018, I completed my Master's degree at Universidad de la República in Uruguay, where my thesis focused on representations of Tango lyrics.
